Songless archive — how to search past answers
The archive is built for two jobs: finding the answer to a specific past date, and studying how the daily Songless puzzles have changed over time. Start with the date grid above if you remember the day; use the month sections below if you only remember roughly when it was. Every recorded date has its own page with the three answers and the hint ladder.
Are old Songless puzzles playable?
The official game serves the current day, not an official archive. This page records what the answer was for every day we could verify, so you can look up a missed puzzle even though the original audio round is no longer available.
How the Songless archive is verified
Each new puzzle is checked after the midnight Eastern Time reset. We publish only dates we can verify; a gap means we do not have a record, not that the puzzle had no answer. The archive count and the date range are shown above and update automatically.
Songless archive by month and date
Use the date cards for a quick lookup or the monthly sections below for a broader scan. Each date page repeats the three answers and the hint ladder, so you can move from the archive index to the exact puzzle day without losing context. The archive is also the source for the Songless artists and song list indexes.
Songless archive coverage and search tips
Tracking started on 30 March 2026. Coverage is not continuous before that date and missing dates mean we could not verify a record, not that the puzzle had no answer. The archive currently contains 102 recorded days and 306 category answers; the exact live count is shown in the stats above and in the archive API.
Search by date, song or artist
If you remember the date, open it directly from the grid. If you remember the song, use the Songless song list; if you remember the artist, use the Songless artist tracker. Both indexes link back to the dated answer pages, so you can move from a title or artist to the exact puzzle day without guessing.
What is included on each archive date
Every recorded date page carries the three category answers (All, Rock and Hip Hop), the release year and genre where available, the spoiler-safe hint ladder, and links to the song and artist records. The archive is therefore both a quick answer lookup and a research index for repeat songs, artist appearances and decade patterns.
Songless archive FAQ
Short, honest answers — the same ones we use in the page schema so search engines and AI answers can quote them accurately.
Can you play old Songless puzzles?
The official game at lessgames.com/songless only serves the current day's round and does not offer an official archive, so you cannot replay a past day there. What you can do is look up what the answer was: this archive lists the answer for every recorded day, one click away.
How do I see past Songless answers?
Jump to a month below and scan the table. Each row shows that day's answers for the All, Rock and Hip Hop puzzles, and every date links to a dedicated page with the full breakdown. Curious how often a song returns? See our repeat-songs study.
How far back does the Songless archive go?
Tracking started March 30, 2026. The archive currently covers 102 recorded days between then and 2026-10-31. Coverage is not continuous: we record only days we can verify, so a missing date means we have no record for it — not that the puzzle had no answer. Every day we verify is added after the midnight Eastern Time reset.
Is this the official Songless archive?
No. Songless is made by Lessgames and the game itself has no archive feature. SonglessAnswers is an independent tracker that records the official daily answers, which makes this the most complete Songless archive available anywhere.
What was yesterday's Songless answer?
The most recent recorded day is October 30, 2026: All: “thank u, next” by Ariana Grande; Rock: “Parklife” by Blur; Hip Hop: “Daisy” by Ashnikko. Open that date for the full page, or scan the tables below.
How do I find the Songless answer for a specific date?
Use the month tables below: every row is one puzzle day and every date links to a dedicated page with all three answers. If you remember the song or artist but not the date, use the song index or the artist tracker.
Does Songless repeat the same song?
Yes. We track every repeat with the dates and gaps in the repeat-songs study. An appearance is a dated puzzle slot, so two appearances can be the same song — the study separates appearances from unique songs.
